Joining Jesus in His Baptism

All four gospels describe the baptism of Jesus.

When we receive our identification with Jesus through baptism, does that also enable us to enter into the depths of others' suffering as Jesus entered into the suffering of all humanity when he entered the Jordan?


When serving our neighbors this week, think about how we may go beyond just "doing good", and ask Jesus to transform us into His Mercy and allow us to bear the sufferings of our neighbors, as Jesus bore our sufferings.
