Whom should we invite?

In Sunday's (August 28, 2022) Gospel, Jesus says, "For every one who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted." He also tells us, "When you hold a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind ...".

For this week's challenge, what about thinking about ways in which we exalt ourselves?

How are our attitudes towards others revealed in our daily lives - by how we live, the company we keep, what we do and say, and how we treat others?

What about whom we invite into our lives? Do we serve our neighbor out of love or out of desire for recognition? Could we invite someone new into our lives? into our church? How do we do this from a place of love for them?
